Sports and fitness have been a significant part of my life since childhood-whether it was playing baseball, basketball, or racing mountain bikes, I always enjoyed pushing myself to work harder and get better. In my early twenties, I began a career in law enforcement and started to think about fitness differently. Fitness developed into a necessity as well as a passion.
The need to develop a level of fitness that would prepare me for the unknown and unknowable attracted me to CrossFit. During this time I also found my passion for training other people and achieved my CrossFit Level 1 certification. I began coaching a group of First Responders. I am proud to say that I helped many of them achieve levels of fitness that they had previously felt were unreachable for them. I continued to train and instruct for the entirety of my law enforcement career until I retired in 2021.
After spending a year on the road in an RV with my family, I began to miss coaching and training and set out to find a way to once again help people achieve their fitness goals. I began by getting my Personal Trainer Certification through the International Sports Sciences Association. I am happy to say that I have now attained the Elite Trainer level through ISSA with specializations in Nutrition and Strength and Conditioning. I feel fortunate to be able to work in the world of fitness where I can help others take control of their own health and wellness.
I look forward to meeting you and to taking part in your fitness journey. I firmly believe that every day is an opportunity to work towards building the best version of ourselves, regardless of our age, our present level of fitness, or prior injuries and/or illness. I hope I can inspire you, support you, and show you that you are capable of more than you might think!
